Recurve Edge

For all my edges I use a Harbor Freight 1x30. For recurve I prefer soft backed belts, light pressure and cooling after each pass.

To sharpen recurves, I split a 2" belt to 1" or 1/2" depending on the size and depth of the recurve.

Sharpening is done on the slack belt portion of the belt between the tracking and drive wheels.

You may need to play around with the belt tension and speed a bit.

Afterwards, I remove the burr and sharpen with a very fine ceramic rod.

You can use sharpening jig like Edge Pro instead of belt grinder. Only what You need for excluding jig itself is "convexed shape" (crosscut) on Your sharpening stones.
