Sorry HOGS--- the ADD kicked in. :)
I know the deal on the recurve: Love/Hate. Where do you stand? I do NOT like the recurve at all but I do on my Nuclear EDC. Go figure!! :D

On my ZT knives it's acceptable. On my INFI? Only on the ST Ripper as far as I'm concerned.

I like the recurve on my Scrapper Yard Guard. It's really blade heavy and hits hard.

So, I guess I'm in favor of blade-heavy recurves.

An Infi "bolo" recurve like this would be a great user....

I like recurves when the curve makes sense on the design and size of knife....

I like recurves. :)

I think lots of folks shy away from them because of the challenges in sharpening...
Especially if convexed.

.

I'll admit on some smaller blades it gives it a more "tactical" look, but I don't like the fact that they are difficult to re-sharpen. The only way I know of doing it is with a sharpening rod. I'm not aware of how something that is curved could be sharpened using something that is flat.

I don't own any knives that have a recurve and don't see having one anytime soon.

I dig them. I second the Yard Guard and ZT thumbs up. Not to mention I was drooling over the Santaganzaaa #16 (I think it was 16, maybe 17?) recurve.

I love my mr mojo and it sharpens easily on the harbor freight 1x30. Previously I put a hair shaving edge on a swamp rat mini mojo with the mousepad and sandpaper method. And that was a complete reprofile from the factory v grind.

Recurves rule! :D

LOVE EM! They cut much better IMHO. They aren't that hard to sharpen and I do convex on them just fine.

I just bought one of those 1x30 sanders. Can't wait to get some finer belts.

Interesting. Sharpening is an issue. Some have a hard time sharpening, period. If my Nuc EDc gets dull, Garth will get it. ;)

Just send it to me - I will sharpen it up, use it for a couple of years to make sure the edge is good, then send it back :D

You D man... Mustard, that is.
Paul, let us know how you make out with your new belt grinder.

Recurves are cool especially the big ones, they just have that old time look.
