Recurve with Cotton Burl

Here's a selectively hardened and etched 5160 recurved blade mated up with a piece of Cotton Wood Burl I got from Alpha Knife Supply at The Blade Show this year.
I had no idea what that Cotton Wood was going to look like, but I'm ordering MORE!
It is in my normal Take-down configuration and the faceted and fluted mild-steel fittings are polished, satin finished and hot-blued!
8 inch blade and 13 inches over all.

I've used some of Chuck's cottonwood burl before and that stuff is just gorgeous. Stabilized cottonwood for knife handles and scales is the only use for that particular tree I know of.
