Red 5 standing by…Show your red scales

Never really thought about red knives. I only have the two below. I would venture to guess that red is the color knife that represents the least amount of knives we have, as a group.

It's one part "the mysteries of white balance in photography" and one part, "no really, brown is a colour too".

Out of around 200 knives, exactly 4 are red handled and two of those are Victorinox. It's a pretty unpopular knife colour, probably because it brings to mind blood when you're trying to tell the police officer that it's just a tool.

A matte black handled knife can say: "Sure. I look a bit murdery to some people, but at least I don't look like a serial killer like that red handled thing over there!"
