This one is going out today. 3.5" CPM154CM blade with satin finish. Custom white linen micarta bolsters and red linen micarta scales. Bolsters have hidden pins.
Thanks,
John
Actually I was asking is it 154CM or the Crucible version which they market as CPM-154. Same basic steel makeup, just the manufacturer I'm pretty sure. There is no such thing as CPM154CM that I know. It really doesn't matter, just curious is all. Fantastic knives and love to see your work. The grinds are perfection!
154cm is a steel made by crucible that has been made for 30+ years and used by many knife companies (like benchmade)
cpm 154 is also made by crucible but the "P" is for powder metalurgy.... so its basically the same formula but the grain will be tighter, more refined and have smaller carbides. This is a relatively new method to make this steel (the last year or two)
I think thats what it is atleast my steel and metalurgical knowledge is very limited
