Red Bone 8OT

the 8OT usually came with saw-cut Delrin handles like the upper 2 in above pic.: Schrade/Walden/N.Y. U.S.A. & Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A./8OT
it also came in smooth red bone like the HERITAGE/Schrade+/N.Y. U.S.A. from 1983, 2nd from bottom.
and in stag like the New York Knife Co Walden; bottom knife.

here i have a smooth red bone Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A./8OT with a large "fancy" OLD TIMER shield and a very faint serial # 030?, lower edge R. front bolster.

anyone familiar with this 8OT ? i assume it was a special run for something as it is serialized.

hi, i think these were the same ones posted a while back smokey mountain had them in their mid 90s catalog,there were 3 a small mdium and the 8ot,with exact same shield and red bone handles. i posted the pics once from the catalog but cant find it now,but i think thats what you have, thanks

The smooth red bone, fancy shield set, was made up of an 80T, a 34OT and a 108OT and was put out by Schrade in 1985. happy collecting,G.M

Thanks guys. knowing some background for every knife is a big part of collecting to all of us i'm sure.
after nearly 2 years of almost daily Schrade hunting, ones new to me keep occuring.
Schrade collecting has no end. Great Eh ?
