My favorite set of skins on a blade is RED BONE!! Just love the stuff. I picked these up back in the mid 80s. The single blade came from my very first Knife Show. Some "Old Dawg" allowed me to tag along with he and his kid.

Thanks Tony..

Randy

Yep, red bone is good

Here's a few of my favorites. It's a tossup for me whether I like redbone or old greenbone the best, but redbone is very nice!

Charlie,

Those are my two favorites as well, the red and antique green bone.

Charlie,
I am pretty dog-gone sure that the last knife (2 blade loom fixer pattern)on the very bottom of your stack there is old Rogers Bone.. If so, you may want to separate that on out from the pile.

As always gentlemen the knives shown cause major drooling problems, thanks for sharing...Randy I like that German Eye a lot..

Here is my personal favorite..

sunburst's knife is a true prototype, made when we were designing the equal end Harness jacks!
Nice to see you are taking good care of it, sunburst!

Let's see, I know I've got a few redbones floating around

Here's one of my absolute favorites. A good old XX 6345 cattle knife;

Randy that's a great older Eye Brand:thumbup: I wish I had snatched up a few of the older eye brands at shows a few years ago when they were a dime a dozen...well not literally:D

Thanks Durwood..It cost me $15 in 1984. I was real proud of it..Its one of those knives that you have to get out and put in your pocket once in a while just to remind you what it was like to be a kid.

Hey sunny, how do you tell the difference? It looks like Case redbone to me.

Love that knife! I have the same exact knife only mine says 1 of 40 on the blade. It has built up quite a patina from the daily slaughtering of apples. I think my carbon steel, red bone, Harness Jack has replaced my D2 Stag Queen Congress as my favorite slipjoint.

This one looks like it has some red highlights. I'll let you know when it arrives.

Awful picture but this was the first custom knife I ever had made for me.
I wanted to marry the old with the new so I had Kit put red bone scales on his Model 4.
