Hi guys,

I have a Ruger 10/22 that I put a BSA red dot sight on last year. I love it.

This week a friend of mine gave me a NcStar brand red dot sight. I was thinking of putting it on my Ruger Mini-14, but I would rather put the better sight on the Mini-14 and the lesser quality on on the Ruger 10/22.

Any thoughts on the differences between BSA and NcStar?

Thanks!

Sometimes price does not equal quality, but it should. Try them out and the one that is best in your opinion put it on your .223
Funny, just yesterday I was looking at the Cabela's shooting catalog for the very same thing for the very same weapon(.223).:)

just be careful in the mini 14. as the mini has no recoil buffer set up the stock and works will take quite a beating over time and your optics will be subjected to lots of shock...the BSA is not all that stong. on the 10/22 its perfect due to low shock from recoil. on the other hand i know one of my fellow co workers has a BSA on his AR and he has had no problems...but it has significantly less recoil than my mini...just info.
