This blade had been sitting on the bench for a few months. I was using different techniques and finishes and just let it sit as other projects took precedence. So I had some time for myself and decided to finish it out.

Originally it had a finger choil and and I just could not get happy with it. So I ground it off. I went round and round on using some G10 or Exotic wood on it but really could not make up my mind. Then I thought... it might be look good with a wrapped handle and since I had not done one lately just went for it and thought I could just unwrap it if it did not come out the way I wanted.

Well, it turned out I was pretty happy with the final outcome... I am not the best at taking pictures and the blade is of course better in hand then in the pict :)

Thanks for looking

Thanks for the kind words guys :)

Everglad... that is a Turks head Knot. They can be a pain but when they come out they really ad to the look of a wrapped handle.

I must say it feels very fast in the hand with the distal taper :)

Really nice looking, Adam. That handle style totally changes the look of the knife from a solid wood/phenolic handle.

Thanks Stacy,

I went back and fourth with what to use on the handle. I think I will keep this design and make some out of S35VN and A2 OR D2

I really like it. That Turks head brings back memories of boy scouts.

It's almost a mix of Persian and Asian. You should call it the Turkipersasianinja. :D

Really nice Adam! It was very good meeting and talking in person 2 weeks ago.

Thanks David, Best part of the show was talking shop with you.

Hey, no fair, I still am looking forward to meeting both of you. I totally bone headed the show, I should have been there. :(

That's a beauty Adam! Digging the orange or is it RED ito as well! GREAT job and thanks for sharing!

Thanks Pohan,

And thanks again for the 3 strand cotton cord. I made good use of it on that "Red Fighter" :)

Just got this knife in the mail today. The pictures do not do it justice. It is very nice. Adam was great to deal with. Shipping was very fast and everything went very smooth. Great person to deal with.

I don't normally like cord wrap, I think the way most people do it it is kinda cheezy looking, but this one is beautiful. You obviously put some care into building a real handle out of the cord.
Nicely done!
