Red G10 and 5160 Steel! This one features a lightly stonewashed forge finish and huge stainless tube rivets.

I could always use a 5th Dashi! Is it for sale?

I wish I had two... it was an order and has been claimed. I do need to do another 'dashi run, I am hoping to order some steel soon.

< Me, looking sad and saying "D'oh". :(

I'm ordering from Aldo for the first time this week. D2 or S7...can't decide.

Aldo at NJSteelBaron rocks, that is who I get my 5160 from. If he doesn't have S7 listed just call him, I have bought S7 (and D2) from him too. He is the first guy I go to for steel and will always treat you right.

A lot of people look at S7 only as a tough steel but it is as clean as it gets and easy to sharpen. You will probably never see it chip and the edge retention is comparable to most high carbon steels. Shoot for 58RC and you will have the toughest knife around!

D2 rocks too, the big carbides just keep on cutting. I have never had any chip and it is as close to a stainless as it gets. CPM D2 is also excellent.

You ain't shittin' me, either. My tanto-cleaver splits 1 x 12s with one shot, and still shaves arm hair with a stropping on plain leather.

Since I'm using Peters, I'll be getting the Mila Jovovic buttcrack heat-treat, and the Hillary Clinton no-no place cryo quench. I'll tell him 58!

That's how you do it!
