Red Handle Material!?!?!?

I am making some kitchen knives for some family members and they want stark red handles. They also need to be a material that withstands plenty of water/dishwashers. Anyone have any ideas?

Do they make red Corian? Corian is kitchen table top material. You can check at countertop manufacturers (small cities usually have at least one) and you may be able to get some spare chunks for free.

I vote for stabilized African Bloodwood or dyed Moose antler.

If you go stabilized wood....make it Pink Ivory. Use the deep red watermelon color. Lloyd Pendleton makes a set of steak knives sing with this wood.....
