Red Heart Quilted Maple & a little bit of Gator Skin - Stabilized by K&G

I just finished adding some new wood to my store that I feel is really good stuff.
The first photo is of scale sets that were cut from the red heart wood of quilted Big Leaf Maple.
These are naturally occurring colors. Very good 3 dimensional figure that has a color change from light to darker as the light hits from different angles.
The 2nd photo is of some Afzelia with Xylay figure. Also called gator skin. I think you can see why.
This wood came from the stash of one of the forum members. I am grateful that he was willing to share his personal stash.
I wish I could afford to just keep this wood for myself.

You know, I typically find maple to be incredibly boring, no matter how well done, but i have to say Mark, this is some interesting stuff.
