Sorry for the crappy cellphone pic. The grips actually have red in them, but you can't see it in the photo.

So...my first post in these forums. Of course, there are others to be sure...but, she is purdy!

Now, on my wish list...if I can only lay my hands on that GEC Pattern No. 78 American Jack in Cranberry Jig Bone...a nail breaker they say...but I do admire the jig bone on this knife...different than the rest I have seen.

And alas...could not resist this Northfield 8281314...but will not arrive till Tuesday!

Oh I like red! Sadly only some SAK'S right now, no pics... But this thread makes me wonder...

Where is lycosa?

Unrequited love.

I want one of these. One of these that looks like this. Deep red . . .

soooooooooooooooooooooooooo
BAD !
It's a Boker.
I ordered one, a medium stockman (three blade). It came and was much lighter red. It almost had white / pink in part of one of the scales. The knife had a couple of other issues so with too many strikes against it I sent it back.

Still though . . . the desire is strong. I might order one of these two blade dudes.
Is there any way to darken it a fair amount to make it look like the photo.
Please . . .
lie to me if you have to . . .
tell me my love is not in vain.

PS: this might be my first CUSTOM knife I get made just so I can get this dang color.

The patina LOVES tomatoes. It has taken on almost a gun blue with some pink cast to it. Pretty darned cool.

The yellow knife lovers have a thread where they post pictures of their knives. They even have different ways of spelling it like, "yeller" or "yella". I for one hate that color. It reminds me of urine, nicotine stains & cowardice. But I digress. The aim of this thread isn't to disparage another color, it's to highlight red knives. This is the place to post a picture of your red knife. Traditional or tactical, show it here, as long as the handle material is red it belongs. I'll start:

I couldn't agree more, well put. Red is definitely the way to go over yellow.

I must say though, that Ronald McDonald Case knife isn't doing it for me (props for lockback though). The full red swiss army knives/traditionals in the other posts are looking real nice though

It's BIG and RED. A knife? Depends on your definition. Oh...small and red, too. Just right for the coin pocket.
