Red mallee kitchen knife help

    Has anybody used red mallee burl for a kitchen knife? If so what is the most reliable finish? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    I've used brown mallee for a non-kitchen knife.
    I simply did a Tru-oil finish. Seems to hold up quite nice.
