Another nice zipper-pull cord is "GloCord" made by Sterling Rope in the 2mm diameter (alot of backpacks use something similar, but with the 3mm which is too fat - the 2mm is spectacular).

I use some pink/purple base color 2mm GloCord as a lanyard on my CS American Lawman. It's fantastic stuff. Nearly on par with my adoration of McNetts "SeamGrip" - luv it like Nutella!!!

Excellent tip. I've done a similiar thing with camera case zippers. Sure saves a lot of fumbling.
