More Hanson if you don't mind.. Custom made folder based off the design of my blue MS test folder. The red ancient Walrus ivory scales are pretty cool. But are they red or orange?

There are four colorful white mother of pearl inlays on spine and a rope file worked 18K Rose gold inlay inside spine. Pics do the talking.

Red, orange, who cares? That's a beautiful folder, no matter how the color is described. (Same remark as with the other one, the colored liners are not to my taste.)

More Hanson if you don't mind..

Mind? Not at all Jonathan, keep 'em coming! It is always with great anticipation that I click on your threads! :D

Kind regards,

Jos

WOW!! That is one of my favorites...and DHIII, has created many lust worthy knives!

Thanks for showing it Jon.

Jon,

That's a beauty.

Even when he doesn't get blue or green, Don gets great colored Ivory.

Nice!!! Reddish orange and likely as scarce as hen's teeth either way. I saw one of Don's knives that had red mammoth and when he told me how much the ivory cost, I about swallowed my gum and choked on it.:D

Jos, if I could get gold liners I would. ;) In the future I will probably change the color pattern up.

A while back, I asked Don if he was still using gold pins and he said that when he ran out of his "cheap" gold ( I dint' think that he ever ran out of anything, mind you) , he stopped because the stuff was stupid expensive. I suspect that he bought a couple of hundred pounds of it back when they still made $20 coins. LOL So if you want gold liners, you had better supply the gold yourself.:D

Joe, :D

Jos, understood about the liners. Different tastes is what keeps all this interesting.

Folks, it's OK to really discuss this knife. Really... Thanks for your comments!

Big props to Jon and Coop!

These were the exact words I was getting ready to type before scrolling down:D. An amazing piece Jonathan, congratulations on another killer DHIII piece.

I really think the red walrus makes it more unique, wonderfully executed with outstanding materials, a recipe for success as Don knows very well.

Jeff ps Jon you are killing me with these last two folders!

Jon, two great Hanson's this year! This one turned out really neat. I had a friend come down hunting about two weeks ago, and your folder was on Don's bench when we visited. Don had explained the mosaic damascus procedure to him, and I can't wait to share these great Coop images with him.

I like the design and size of this folder. That walrus color rocks. Your input in its fianl results make this a special piece in your collection. Congrats!

Wow, that is a fantastic piece. The detail on the inside of the knife is icing on the cake.

Exactly. It would be very boring if everybody liked the same things!

But nomatter how you look at it, this is an impressive folder!

Kind regards,

Jos

Great looking knife JB and DH. nice photo which shows the knife exquisitely well also. nothing to not like including the liners but then I do like thing a bit out of the ordinary.

LOL. These days, the raw materials alone might cost more than some of us paid for our first car. ;)So we can disgust this knife? Okay....it disgusts me that some young whippersnapper like Jon, who appears to be younger than some of the socks in the bottom of my sock draw, can afford such art.:D
Joe, :D

Thanks guys. I loved shooting this piece. SO colorful.

Brian, I rarely can show that view in my images. When I do it's usually a second shot (like this) or it's a busy website dealer shot. ;)

That said, I call that area of decoration 'Buried Treasure'. It reveals itself to the owner discreetly.

Jon, Don: Wow.

I wish we could somehow orchestrate massive and widespread dissemination of that attitude right there.

Jon - it's a beautiful knife. The ivory is stunning (natch) and those pearl inlays are a terrific added detail that further elevate an already wonderful piece.
