Hi friends :)

I did a batch of Redds in Magnacut and Horween leather that I am proud to offer here with a price reduction! This package will easily accommodate some cash and a couple cards to keep you organized and discreetly protected. Question: Best knife you have? Answer: The one you have on you  The blade on these is just under 2" and they are 0.15" thick. Horween leather from Chicago is used to create the burgundy and black wallets. These are sharp, purpose built pieces with many options for attaching rings or lanyards of your choosing. Please reach out with questions and feel free to pick these up directly from my site at www.jvknives.com. 100% American made with USA products. These are $179 delivered within these United States. Please reach out with any questions, and as always, thank you for your interest in my work!

Best,
John Vandiver

Good looking knife and concept. A bit concerned that knife will poke through the wallet in no time. Is the bottom of the wallet lined or is there a stop to prevent the knife from going in too deep?

Thanks for your question!

Short answer: no worries :) Long answer follows:

In leather sheath making, we are always concerned about the knife poking through the sheath or cutting the sewn threads....enter the "welt"! A welt is a piece of leather used to protect and secure the entire edge of a blade. This prevents damage to the sheath (wallet in this case). Please see the pics below. The first pic is the full wallet/knife for reference. The second pic shows the cover and pockets removed from the front so you can easily see the welt and its relationship to the blade. The welt in this case is made from 6 oz leather and also helps to provide the support and structure to make the wallet not "floppy" when unsupported by the blade. Hope this helps bely the concern....no poking thru! 👍
