Redesigned my website check it out.

Looks good. A question about your Heat Treating Cart. How stable is the furnace on the cart, do you move it around, is it bolt down?

Hi Ricky thanks for checking out the site. The cart that I have the oven sitting on is very stable. I found that cart at the local scrap yard for $20 which I jumped on in a hurry. The casters on it are about 6". I don't currently have it bolted down but might in the future. As you can see from the pics my shop is not real big so yes I do move it out of the corner when I HT. I did 10 knives the other day and when done rolled it back over in the corner out of the way.

I like the look of it. Looks very professional. Pics look good, well taken. In the gallery, under the 2nd picture, I'm guessing it is supposed to be 300 layers. You have "300 later 1075/1084/15n20"

Personally I would like to see larger pictures. Not on the main pages (like the gallery), but maybe make them a link to a larger pic to show better detail. Also can't see the copy right, knife maker, photographer info on very last pic in gallery. Maybe put something up there to say that the pics are copyrighted. Maybe figure out how to disable the "save as" function when the picture is right clicked on.

Just a couple of suggestions, hope you don't mind.

That 4th pic in the gallery, "Feathered W pattern 1075/108", that is some great looking work. To me, it doesn't look like metal. Looks like gray, black and white paint that had something pulled through them to partially mix them.

Thanks all. Railrider good catch on the "later" I just went in and changed that also added a copyright to the bottom of each page. I will look into getting some bigger pics available on there. As far as the right click option I have seen some code that can hinder it but if someone really wants to copy it they will figure it out. You can always take a screen shot and get a copy from there. I am going to do a bit more research on that. Also thanks for the compliment on the feather knife.

forgot to add, under the other works page, maybe list what the things are. It's obvious to me that that is a damascus ring and arrow head, but maybe not to someone else. What is the thing on the bottom? Pipe? Do you take orders for rings or pipes or rings?

Thanks Mike. It was well worth it to have the building lined in metal on the inside also. Plus it is insulated so stayed nice and warm in the cold winter months. Getting a bit to warm to forge much more. Luckily I have enough forged blades to keep me finishing for a while. -Burton
