• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I dug out my Fallkniven TK4 this weekend, a knife I had consigned to a drawer at an earlier stage in my knife collecting/habit. i had consigned it to a life in darkness because I'd struggled with the obtuse edge and been unable to achieve anything resembling a useable edge with my Sharpmaker. A couple of years and a touch more experience and I'm maintaining most of my knives using the mouse mat method. I've spent a hour or so putting a finer, convex edge on the knife and it's worked wonders in combination with the convex grind! I've also softened the handle edges where the blade sits with a file and sandpaper.

I think this may be my EDC work knife for a while, has anyone got a similar story to tell.......?

you cant beat a convex edge for durability in my opinion. i sharpen a lot of knives and quite a few are convex edges. have you tried a coarser edge (toothier edge) on your knife?

I'd love to see pics of your edge work. The TK4 has always interested me but I haven't obtained one yet.
