I think it was Will that said i wont be happy till the handle was redone and it would bug me he was right. Last night I wipped this up had a chunk of oak so i dremell cut the old handle off with a deep blade and then chisled off the wood knocked out the pins. Sanded with the belt but was crazy cuzz i just put a new on on i wish i had some 240 and 320 belts so they wouldnt sand so fast.I sanded this down to 120 then hand sanded the rest 180 240 400 then used true oil gun finish looks real good.the blade is RC of 61 its a laminated hard steel the outer shell is 57 the inner core 61 old ice auger blade.Holds a edge like wow. kellyw
