I have a set of 5 matched Mint condition, German Bulldog Brandfolding knives that I hate to sell, but I need to in order to finance some of my knife purchases. They all are antique, elephant ivory handle knives in mint or near mint condition. I have looked at them some, but they are unused. I purchased these from a master knifemaker in TN. He told me he would supply a note of authenticity if needed. If there is any question as to their authenticity, he said they are listed in the knife books. They include:
a 4 blade 3 3/4" Congress,
a 3 blade 3 5/8" Stockman,
a 2 blade 3 3/8" Trapper,
a 3 blade 3 1/8" Whittler, and
a 2 blade 2 5/8" Peanut.
The 3 largest are etched with Bulldog Brand and 2 owls. The Whittler is etched with Seductress and a reclining lady and the Peanut is not etched. The tangs are stamped with 2 owls, hand made, Bulldog Brand, hammer forged, Solingen Germany. Needless to say, the handles are crack-free and the blades are all tight with no wobble and a lot of snap.
I am asking $650, including shipping, plus 3% for PP fees for the set. I have been told they would bring up to $1,000 at retail prices. I have a nice Oak-framed glass mounting case for an extra $35 shipped, if you want it.
