Offered for sale is one very clean 1986 Case 6296 Jack with CV blades and brown bone scales. This knife was bought as a spare years ago and has mostly just been handled and played with but not really carried or used. Good pulls, strong snap, very slight gap between one of the springs and liner, two tiny dots on one of the bolsters (might polish off but I have not tried).

I believe the tang stamp and shield on the pictured knife indicates a 1986 manufacture date.

Okay, thanks for the update. Tried to look it up but wasn't really confident that I had it right.

Primble is correct, that is an 86' case. The lightning bolt "S" indicates 80's. Otherwise, it would be from the 70's with the dot system.

yes, if it didn't have the lightening s. if it had the regular s it would be a 70s model.
