Hello! I'm new to the forum because I was told this is a great place to learn more about knives and also to sell them. I realize that not having a "history" on the site may be a detriment, but I hope not for long.
I'm selling a small, fixed blade damascus hunter made by Stones River Knifeworks. I don't think they are in business anymore (I've had it for about 5 years), as it was a husband/wife team that I met at a knife exchange and I can't find anything when I Google them. The blade is about 2-3/4" long, and the entire knife is 6-1/4" long. The sheath was hand-made and really looks great. They indicated the blade steel came for Bear & Sons in Alabama, but I can't confirm that. I think it makes sense, because I don't think he was forging his own!
I have never used the knife, nor sharpened it, but when I run my nail along the blade, I feel a small nick along the blade about 1/2" from the tip, which I have tried to photograph. It's small, but I don't want anyone feeling like I wasn't trying to be 100% open and honest about the blade condition.
The handle is a green-ish micarta, and is extremely comfortable in the hand.
Check out the pics, and please let me know if you have questions. $100. Thanks!
