Hi all, my first post.

I hope this is the right place for this type inquiry. I searched for info/opinions on decent quality 2x72 sanders and for some reason didn't find much. Looked at some smaller/cheaper units and the Grizzly and they seemed to be the type machines I would buy and after a year regret the decision. So, I increased my budget and am looking at a Reeder Products unit. It seems well made. With a 1.5 hp Baldor motor and VFD, I'll be into it for about $1500. It doesn't appear to have been out for that long. I'm wondering if any of you folks have experience with it.

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I'm not a fan of aluminum when it comes to metal-on-metal sliding (e.g. tool arm or tool arm receiver), but that aside, the Reeder looks like a solid choice (I'm assuming it's aluminum but could be wrong). It has some features and qualities that are unique and beneficial, such as the 2-axis tracking. The price seems to be plenty fair.

I would ask Reeder if their grinder is compatible with any other brand accessories, and perhaps also ask for a 90-day satisfaction guarantee or something like that.

Thanks for the input. Any other suggestions for a $1500 machine?

Wilmont, TW-90, Northridge, Pheer, GIB, Esteem, Bader, KMG ... I might be missing a few but these are the 2x72 pro-grade grinders that most of us use. You'll have to look into the price and details of each one.
