Reeder vs Ameribrade vs ect..

I looked up the Hardcore grinder and they are twice the price of the other premium grinder packages listed here. Am I missing something? They seem comparable in quality to me.
We have multiple 2x72 grinders in the shop: KMG, Uber (Fellhoelter), Fellhoelter horizontal, Wilton & shop made. All the grinders get used every day except the horizontal.

We also have the Hardcore rotary cooled platen. The quality of the platen is exceptional. I've considered buying a Hardcore 2x72 based on conversations with friends who own them. I've never been told anything bad. More than one full time knifemaker has told me their hardcore grinders paid for themselves in less than a month because they could grind much faster. The result of grinding faster was more knives produced.

Thanks for the info, Chuck!

No need to try and save on a Chinese VFD and second use motor. My source will sell a brand new 2HP Techtop motor with a KBAC drive that is fully wired with F-S-R switches for right at $800. It is fully plug-and-play ... all you need to do is put in the four motor bolts and screw the VFD on the arm. Anyone who wants his site can PM or email me.

If it’s gonna be a lifelong hobby, I’d pay the extra $$$. Buy once, cry once. I got the north ridge because of Matthew’s video and it is excellent. I came from a 2x42 though so anything would’ve been better.
