Reeves in Iraq?

Correction, the Yarborough knife is "not" issued to graduates of the SF Qualification Course. It is "given" to them. "Issued" would imply government property which is signed for on a receipt by the soldier, in his possession for it's operation, maintenance, and accountability, and later to be returned to that part of the Army that issued it.

There is accountability for this knife but it is only the fact that each graduate received one and recorded on a list, I think, at the Fort Bragg book store or something.

Just to add from my experience, My son is now in Iraq and I serched this forum and many other places to find the best knife I could afford for him. I ended up getting him a Cold Steel ODA mainly because of cost. He was afraid of loseing a more expensive knife that nither of us could easily replace. I wanted to get him something along the line of a Prodject 1 but he didn't think I sould pay that much. He is doing fine with the knife I chose but like others have said here he has only used it for day to day work and nothing 1 on 1 and I hope and pray it stays that way.
