decided to refinish the slabs of my sebenza with a cheap harbor freight sand blaster!!! I i feel it came out great considering the whole setup is just around the same price as getting it done at the spa...

Excellent job, It looks brand new, Plus look at all the fun you had & no waiting for the mail man.:thumbup::thumbup:

I wish CRK would anodize their handle slabs to give them more scratch resistance. I have a 9 year old CUDA MAXX that is an EDC that looks like new because it is anodized. I also have a Benchmade 943 with anodized Titanium handles that is often carried and still looks like new. My non-anodized Ti handles (CRK, Buck, custom Ralph MAXX, etc.) all look like the dog has been chewing on them.

How did you go about protecting the lock face? That is one aspect I could never fihure out to protect if I were to do it myself. Looks great by the way!

 on durability, but I think it'll ruin the look, maybe not though. someone should annodize their Sebenza straight blue, kind of like what Sibert does for some of his pocket rockets.

mask it off with tape, same with the washer and bushing area.

Forgive my ignorance in this but when using a gun like this could it blow through the tape, or loosen it thereby causing damage? (so take extra care when taping!) Or does these type of guns not use that high compression?

Looks good!
FYI
The aluminum oxide blast looks closer to the factory. You can get AO at Harbor Freight.

hmm, I figured just use some paint masking tape. I think as long as it's on with no loose edges, it should withstand the blasting. I know Shane Sibert just uses electrical tape, and that stays on fine for him.

WOW... very nice, I like that alot! I might have to get one of those things. I love bead blast finish, but it don't hold up well to use. With that thing you can make it look new all the time.

Nice job! very well done sir! I would of been too afraid to do that myself, so cudo's to you!
