Refinishing/ sharpening

If there is edge damage that you are uncomfortable sharpening out, they will fix it. As Andy said, Garth is your man. Great guy!

He even re-etched the BUSSE logo on my stripped Battle Saw while it was being sharpened. It is razor sharp too after its trip to the mothership.

Josh REK Knives REK Knives will also hook you up if you want to get creative. He has done some amazing stuff for the HOGs out there.
Thanks so much for the shoutout, but I closed books a couple months ago just trying to get caught up on orders as I also start making my own products - not enough time in the day for it all!

I'm actually working on your three today... Just started :)

This is amazing news because I'm 99.99% sure not even the saltiest of salty Hogs has ever beheld a REK'd Extraction Unit 17 Magnum.

But it's gonna happen if Mr. William Collector doesn't lock down my credit before then.

You've heard of him, right? You probably know him better as "Bill."

BTW, I knew your regrind books were closed and that's why I didn't redirect jharp to ya.

Well now someone has to share some of the work Josh has done!

He's got his own subforum on BladeForums ...mosey on over there:

here's a little taste: the best SARsquatch in the world, that I sold to my good Busse friend:

If you're looking to sharpen knives, the Wicked Edge is a really easy system to use.

Too thick? Is it the height? I only have a few Busses, but I was able to sharpen the FMV8 pretty easily. I haven't tried the FMV14 or Last Rites yet.
Yeah... It works fine (diamond stones cut it no problem) it's just that it takes FOREVER since it's so thickly ground and with such a long blade, and I don't even want to think about reprofiling lol

Just trying to take the bombproof tip on my HG55, from this <bottom blade>:

It sucked a few hours of my life down the grinding rabbit hole using a DMT diafold.

It's the type of exercise in futility your Dad would term "character building." ;)
