There's no rule about it because the rule about bumping got *removed* when the change occurred. That is, there used to be a rule that you could only bump your thread every 72 hours or however long it was, back when the sales section sorted by last post date rather than its current sorting by thread start date. Once the forum changed to sorting by thread date rather than last post date (to curb all the people bumping a thread too early against the rule), the old rule became obsolete so was removed from the list. That's why you don't see anything in there about it--because the forum was changed so that no rule is necessary.

You've been he for 4 years already, the rule change was widely announced and discussed for months before it took place. The reason was the rampant abuse of constant bumping for everyone. You are not obligated to support the site, but that is also what the membership is for (after all that is why most of us are here). Best of luck.

Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it. I have no idea why the mod referred me here instead of just giving me the information you did. I don't see how making this public would help resolve it. Thanks again, please close this thread.
 
I'm a designer. I do not sell ( yet) but I would like the ability to post nonsense from my shop without the fugitbukkit and PicYourAssa.
I belong to a non Knife site that charges about $3.75 a month. I can post as many photos as I want( as long as they are ???? under 300 mb or so ???
I suggest the owner of this place do the same ( Gold, Platinum. E-coli etc.)
I spend over $200 a month "donating"to real websites---a few dollars each. The scary part here is, when searching a topic, a mountain of posters have been banned.If the site was political I could grasp that..............BUT.
 
I was a bit confused on the newish no-bump policy as well. However, I now understand it more clearly and I think it's quite fair. Much better than the way it was before, with nitwits flooding the front page every morning with multiple posts and bumps.

So let me ask you:

Should we allow people that steal, lie, cheat and run free ripping other off at their leaisure with no consequence?
Would it be better than keeping our community as clean and honest as possible by removing folks that have no ethics?
Are you saying this isn't a real website? One that has been here since 1998?
 
give him his money back then bann him from ever come back of just looking on this site again. $25.00 is a dinner for two people. they way people talk here on this site spending hundreds of dollars for a knife what is the price of a gold membership??

What does this post have to do with POINTMANDDT's request? There is nothing scary about the "mountain" of banned members. This site has been running in one form or another since 1998. This site has a lot of members and gets a lot of traffic. We attract every type of liar, thief, con man and scum bag. We have a solid staff of unpaid moderators that donate their time and energy to keep this site free of nonsense. If you have any further questions, please feel free to start your own thread in this forum and we'll do our best to ease your fears.
