Refund or Upgrade Please

Can I get a refund for the difference or an upgrade to my existing membership type? I paid for a Platinum membership the last time I paid for the membership before the most recent time, but received a Gold membership the entire time. It's funny that I didn't notice until after the entire year, but I don't think I ever had a reason to actually make sure it was a Platinum membership type or even look at my own profile.
