Well since Ido not have the certificate of authenticity they will not even let me pay to have it recoated and the emblems put back on. Any suggestions on what I can coat it with to match the original coating? I will have to laser etch the logos on myself I guess.

Even if you pay. Now that's some great service!:jerkit:

I'll be saving up for a Predator. There service at Red Scorpion Six is TRULY customer focused. Makes me want to just pitch the Tracker.

I am the second owner of the knife. The person did not have the Certificate of Authenticity to give me.

Boy, I thought I couldnt stand TOPS before. For the prices they charge for 1095, they should be bending over vbackwards to make you happy. Even as a second owner a poder coat at a cheap price is in order, to say the least.
BOOOOO...
Lauerweapon systems makes Duracoat, you can get it directly or from grizzly. Its not a powder coat but it will be much easier to apply at home and touch up.

that is why I buy knives with a warranty on the knife, not the owner.

Lame.

It could be said that TOPS stands behind their products. . .

WAAAAAAY behind them.

How do I, or what kind of paint will give me that bumpy texture they have on it? I have tested some different paints to include Duracoat but can't get that textured look that was original on the blade.

just so you know, what you pay for a tops knife or another factory knife is not what they charge for them they just set the MSRP for the distributors and dealers

if you knew what a factory charged as a factory maker you'd see why they edited to change > May not want to deal with it if they do then good for them and you  .. the dealers and distributors are the ones that make the bulk of the money.. you should see the ones that you bought it from,,
if you didn't buy it from a dealer but from another source then the warranty normaly would be void anyway.. if it were a piece that ran 500.00 or so that would be something of a different sort..I'd think..

that is why the custom maker can offer things like that or should be able to
and hopefully his price includes this possibility for these things and should foresee these things.. JMHO here :)

factory and customs are two all together different ways of doing business.. just food for thought not for a pop corn session :)

I'm a little surprised to hear this as I have sent back a couple different knives to TOPS for refurb and sharpening and they didn't ask for anything except shipping cost. They didn't ask if I was the original or twentieth owner.
