World War Two Cattaraugus 225-Q military commando fighting knife. Reconditioned by me, Oklahoma knife and tool maker Bill Goodwin. Measures 10 1/2" OAL. Blade measures 6" total length. Blade is full and appears to have not been used. Blade has handling marks in the form of scratches and a very few tiny surface peppering marks. The original steel guard has scratches, staining, peppering and some shallow pitting. Has the original red fiber spacers. The handle has been replaced with new leather washers. Original pommel. Comes with a new right hand leather sheath. The sheath is custom made for this knife. The sheath and handle are treated with mink oil. Excellent knife for using or collecting.

I have reconditioned several dozen of these knives and have never found one that did not need the handle replaced because of rotten leather or at the very least very dry leather, no matter the appearance of the handle. This knife was completely disassembled, cleaned, polished and then reassembled with new, thick leather washers. Everything is tight. The knife is sharpened and ready to be used. $300 shipped priority with insurance to any US state and its protectorates. Contact me at billgoodwin1958@gmail.com

Thank you Craig. I always enjoy doing one of these. This one was already in great shape, just needed new leather and a little cleaning up. Hard to find one this nice.

Very nice work, a real compliment to both you & the design. This kinda looks like a tactical pukko of sorts, just beautiful!!

Thank you guys. These knives were designed and built to be used in combat. Well engineered and a little difficult to take apart but deserving of the effort for their historical significance alone. The blades are made from 3/16" thick 1095 steel and of all the ones I've handled, they seem to be very well heat treated. 70 plus years old and still going, got to respect that.
