Mr. Folts responded to my offer of a MiniDisc player and a Spyderco Police in stainless with a NIB William Henry Lancet and a custom neck knife.
Not only did I recieve both knives the day after the deal was finalized, but the William Henry was IMMACULATE. The blade on the neck knife had been biased to the right and slightly scratched during the manufacture of the kydex sheath. Mr. Folts immediately offered to do whatever necessary to make the trade right. In addition, he took with remarkable good humor my failure to include a neccessary cable for the MiniDisc player.
While the trade is still in progress, as I have not yet sent him the neck knife to exchange for a replacement he is custom making for me in exactly the materials I requested (despite the relative expense of a custom knife with a carbon fiber handle and a worked stone inset, he immediately accepted my request), I have faith that it will conclude to the satisfaction of all concerned. Furthermore, upon looking up the price of a new Lancet, I discovered to my happy surprise that it is worth probably two thirds of the value of my offered trade.
As far as I am concerned, Mr. Folts is a gentleman and a scholar. He has confirmed my belief that the people on this board are, for the most part, honorable in the extreme. My first trade has been a pleasant change from uneven ebay purchases.
Hats off to Mr. Folts.
