Regarding nyc ownership of a blade

Does anyone know the legality of simply owning a knife or sword without a license in nyc. Just to own one not to carry one. By knife I mean a knife with a good size blade(fixed handle) and a tanto sword perhaps.

you can own any sword in NYC....there are no licences for knives....look up the exact laws under Bernard Levine's section on this forum....I would not carry one. The only lenght restriction is four inch blade for carring
