Regarding the sale of the Schrade 510T Old Timer Folding Knife

FYI: I did not start this thread - I posted this note in response to the sale that xpressblades had for the Schrade 51OT. Posts were consolidated, then xpressblades deleted enough info from the OP that now it appears I started this thread, which is not the case. (My post was the second post in xpressblade's thread.) I have received PM's regarding this thread, so I wanted to clarify this here.

I typically do NOT start threads on other members.

FYI - the 51OT you have pictured is not a U.S.-Schrade made folder. It's one of the new Taylor Brands Schrades, with brass bolsters, made in China.

I see no USA on the tang of the Schrade folder. Only USA I see is on the tang of the Buck fixed blade in your last pic.

I have a small collection of Schrade lockback folders. All of mine, 7 or 8 of them have USA stamped on the tang.

This is a Taylor Brand LLC made in CHINA Schrade. I would say $15 - $20 would be a fair price for it.

FYI, original Schrade Old Timer knives always have "USA" on the tang stamp.

Bob, that sale was consolidated with 2 others, and then the Schrade sale was deleted by the seller.

For what it's worth, it wasn't my intention to interfere with the OP's thread; I gave him the benefit of the doubt, that he may not have known what he had. (new Schrade vs. the old U.S.-made Schrades.)

I've posted and clarified things for OP's before, so I figured this was okay.
