Regardless of Steel, How Often Do You Sharpen?

S30V EDC gets a few Sharpmaker strokes about every other week. Most others, 440C thru A2 get it weekly.
 
If you draw a distinction between sharpening and touch-ups, then I can say I rarely sharpen my knives. I touch up my EDC as needed to keep it at least arm-hair shaving sharp.

The OP questioned the need for super steels if you always touch the edge up after every use. While I see his point, the great thing about better steels is that you can do things like cut up a room full of cardboard boxes, for example, without have to stop to maintain the edge. Such big cutting choses that entail lots of cuts chores is where they shine.
 
Once a week or if I'm bored. Sharpening is kinda 'zen' so it is relaxing.
