This May have been discussed before, I don't feel like wading through threads or necroposting, so deal with it.

Have you ever gotten rid of a knife and then seriously regretted it? Did you ever get it back? I have. I traded my Adamas for an S35VN Para2, and I really miss that knife. It was such a great folder. Sharp, smooth, and it was the sturdiest folding knife I've ever owned.

Don't get me wrong, I adore my ParaMilitary, but I miss the Adamas. I'm currently trying to get her back. :D

Yup. Gave my brother in law my stone washed Kershaw Breakout a few years back. Now that I think about it, I liked the knife a lot more than I like him.

Gave my leek to my cousin, don't really regret it though. It was an okay knife and my cousin really liked it. It now has him addicted to knives. He's looking at getting a pm2 now.

Also, I kind of miss my Endura. I don't regret trading it though. I traded it for the Adamas, which of course is now the Para...

I regret not getting rid of my Boker Titan Drop sooner than I did. I hated that knife.

I sold a regular sebenza ccg a few years ago to fund a 3 inch XM18. I can honestly say I would much rather have the sebenza back.

I don't regret it but I traded away a Barry Wood custom several years back. I'd love to have one of those again!

An older guy I worked with gave me quite a few knives years ago and I sold most of them. Well he died unexpectedly and there was one knife that I wish I never sold. So I contacted the guy I sold it to, explained my situation, we agreed on a price and he was kind enough to sell it back to me. I now have a keepsake and all is good.

Yeah... a couple of times. I replaced all the knives I regretted trading/selling. Once I even tracked down "the knife" that I traded and got it back. I've learned now to wait a while and consider "several times" whether i want to get rid of a knife that I liked enough to buy.

Yes, I purchased a Buck 110 Damascus back in the early 90's and traded it off. Don't even remember what it was I got.
Purchased a Puma Waldhai back in '03, sold it a year or so later when I got tired of seeing it in the safe.
While not very practical it was pretty darn neat and you never see one for sell.

Traded a Socom Elite that I had made stingray grip inserts for. Traded it for a William Henry EDC and regretted it almost immediately. Still regret it.

Got several that I'm currently considering trading/selling, but am not in a hurry so that I won't have that regret thing going on after.

I get regret all the time. I admit to myself that I made a mistake and either do something to fix it or live with it or just remind myself not to do it again.

Missing my Spyderco S35V PM2 sprint and Emerson CQC7-V immensely. Couldn't buy back either one for what they originally cost...:(

You know what I regret? Using USPS. I've been calling Kai to find out the status of a DLC coated JunkYard Dog, and they never received the knife. Pretty sure USPS lost it. Well, I'm out $80.

No regrets. I don't pay alot for knives to begin with so anything I'm not happy with I turn into a beater, than again I like to work all my knives hard.

Absolutely, knives, guns, cars... Regretted selling lots of stuff but the only reason I sell things is when I need to come up with money to support my family and keep a roof over their heads (I don't sell off toys just to afford other toys, I just save more) so I get over it knowing I made the right decision.
