I have a Cold Steel Tanto and I've never really cared for the Americanized tanto tip. I was wondering if there are any craftsmen in here that can reshape it to a more traditional tip. Seems like it should be doable. I guess you'd just have to keep it from getting too hot and ruining the heat treat. I would also like a nice convex edge put on it. Nothing drastic... just rounding the shoulders of what's there. Please PM if you offer this service.

This is an example of the tip it has

And these are examples of the kind of tips I'd like to get

or if the ridge line can be achieved something like this then

I do swords the old way . but the hamon is way to thin to cut the tip into the old style with out clay tapering it again

Mr Knives I think if that is representative of his blade that it looks to be a laminated blade. In that case you could get away with not having to reclay treat it.
