regular or lightweight Shemagh ?

I find a shemagh pretty useless in the swamps and woods in North Florida. I do sometimes carry a bit of skeeter cloth though.

Silk bandana work really well in heat, and cool better than cotton.

I am going to use them as winter scarves this year. The wife has a blue one. Wearing them desert styles looks kind of goofy around here and would get some unhappy stares.
