Regular Sebenza Blade Replacement Question

I have a small regular Seb that I am a little hesitant to use because I am concerned that if the blade gets damaged or needs to be replaced that I will be out of luck. Does anyone know if CRK will still replace a blade with the "regular" profile despite the fact that they have been discontinued?

They will replace a blade under warranty for as long as they still have regular blades, how long that will be I don't know. After that I suppose they will recommend that the knife be retired and you replace it with something else. Heart breaking stuff, I know. :p

Maybe discontinuing the annuals could have something to do with the regular blades stock running low. Just a guess.
But I'm sure theres still plenty on hand for warranty issues if you should ever need a replacement.

There's no harm in asking, I think it may well not be entertained by them but you can give it a go.

I am very interested in knowing if it is possible to get an extra blade for my Umnumzaan also. If I know I can get a replacement blade I can use & sharpen as I want instead of worrying I'll sharpen the blade away in a decade. It would also be cool to have an extra blade that I can get Cerakoted.

I asked this myself a few months back and they will not just sell you a backup blade but they do have some on hand for said warranty work.

Like the others said who knows how long that will be.

But I would not worry about it granted you use the knife as a cutting tool and don't abuse it. It should last you a lifetime if not more.

If availble get a replacement one if it bothers you
or get a 2nd knife and put one of the 2 away (I've done it with 2-3 blades I really like), I think it's better even if it costs more...
or just use it and that' s it, it will certainly last long very long

May I ask: What are you planning to do with your knife, so you are afraid of getting it damaged?
Beside the urge to keep it mint.
If so, follow the advice given here and buy one user and a backup (collectors piece).
As far as I've experienced this is the transition for accumulating to collecting.
Please be warned: This can get expensive! But feels good!

Thanks for the responses folks. . .
Red Mag--you hit the nail on the head--just an uncanny and unreasonable urge to keep it mint.
I actually do have a backup small regular I bought that I plan on keeping mint and not using at all, so I guess it all boils down to my obesession with accumulating more and more CRK products.
I sent CRK an email to inquire on the blade replacement thing--I will post when I get their response.

if you have 2...already...use one of the 2, no actual need for a 3rd blade
you already solved the "problem" IMO
