Rehandled Pakistani fetches record $$$.

Averageguy, have you ever handled a Jason Jacobs knife?

Also, what Guild quality knives do you have that you couldn't get $242.00 for?

You asserted twice I was in error when in fact you are the one who has erred. That is in fact a record price for a Pakistani blade.

You would know that how? You mean to tell us that you have seen the prices that every Pakistani knife has sold for on ebay?

While a couple of you may frequent this forum regularly - the numbers indicate this forum gets few page views.

GBU is well frequented -however as I pointed out earlier it focuses on specific individuals and outlets. It does not have the wide readership of the general forum merely a high number of posts.
Just as an aside, I rarely look at the General forum. I look at the GB&U every day, regularly.

It contains individual feedbacks, but it's not limited to this. These posts have been relevant to that forum, indeed.

Yes Spark - you were the only one to respond forcefully. I don't believe I have ever been rude to a moderator. I am argumentative.

"You would know that how? You mean to tell us that you have seen the prices that every Pakistani knife has sold for on ebay?"

Quite a few. Only once above this price and it was a Jason Jacobs sword like piece. Surprise me by showing another.

"Also, what Guild quality knives do you have that you couldn't get $242.00 for?"

I have never been able to get this much for a guild knife. My most recent sale was a pair of Baskett knives (pictured on the forums here a few weeks ago) - $400.00. I have had far more success with non-guild knives.

Again, this post and my post on kits were made as a heads up to newbies.
They likely wont ever see either of these posts.
And again I ask - how does this serve the forum or its members?

At least half the stuff in the general forum should probably be in the review forum or the gallery but it stays there. The other half are recomendations - invariably Busse or Spyderco. But a couple of posts explaining to these youngsters that a custom knife is not always a custom knife - truly useful information - gets moved to where most wont see it.

General discussion is just that. There's bound to be some bleed over. If something is moved, it's because it belongs elsewhere. You can either live with it, or not. Your choice.
