REI dividends are in....what are you getting?

Well the REI dividends are arriving. I made up a list a while ago with loads of survival type gear. Mostly little things under $20. Sadly most of my purchases last year were on sale items so my dividend is only about $30. And of course they tempt you to buy high ticket items with the 20% off one item coupon.

What purchases do you guys have planned?

I got a $28 dollar dividend and I got a stainless steel water bottle similar to a guyout bottle with a different name. I also got one of REI's sombero style hats, its pretty cool. Its black, wide rimmed, breathable and it floats. It was originally $40, but I scored it on clearance for $11.

I got a whopping $10 :D But with the 20% off too, it can be stretched. There's always a bunch of things I want from there, but I'll probably jsut get a few small things.

I went down to REI with that dividend burning a hole in my wallet. I hoped to get a Guyot Designs 38 oz steel water bottle, but they didn't carry them. I needed some more Ex-Officio Amphi-Pants or convertible pants/shorts or REI knock-offs, but the smallest waist size they had for any pants I could find was 42". (Are they only catering to the obese, these days? Anyway, that worked out for the best: When I got home, I got an email from Sierra Trading post, and got 5 pair of Ex-Officio pants for less than it would've cost for 2 pair at REI.) I left with nothing.

I guess I'll load up on sunscreen or something.

$32.00 on something like $900 spent in the last year. Wahoo.

Thinking about a Jetboil, or a pair of trail shoes that can get wet. I'd feel like a freaking hippie wearing them but after a hike last summer where I had to swap my Asolo boots for water sandals every few miles (lot of hiking IN the streams that trip), I might just say nuts to it.

Or I might get another pair of the Ex officio boxers. God I love those things.
Wicking and quick drying. :D:D:D

I'm gonna use mine for enough clif bars and gookinaid to feed one of the checkout girls a snack if she'll go on a hike with me. failing that, a couple topos.

Doesn't sound like any of us scored very big...I got $22 plus that 20% thing.

We're going to buy a couple of those new high tech (and cheap) emergency bivvy bags for our cars.

Seems we don't have as much income to play with this year, so REI isn't going to make even as much as we didn't spend last year...:o

I got 40 bucks. Already got a klean kanteen bottle, pair of lights for my bike and shipping. Got like $10 left so I'm not sure what I'll get.

$10, I'm cheap and only buy stuff on sale.:D
I scored big last time, two pairs of shoes (Ahnu) for $40:thumbup: They are working pretty good too.
I already have most of the big ticket items, but I would like some new clothes.

I got $15, which is much better than the ~$2 I usually get. This is on about $1000 of purchases. The thing is, I can't for the life of me remember what I bought at full price for $150, since I NEVER pay full retail there. I did buy some boots, but they got returned.

Next year's will probably be $0 and I am up to about $2000 in purchases so far.

$13 here! I got nothing. Can't really think of anything I need right now. Maybe use the 20% for a spare filter for my Miniworks I bought last year and still haven't tried out.

I'm in the market for a new sleeping bag, pad and bivy bag. I may apply the 20% off coupon and the $35 I got toward a Big Agnes Mistic SL.

I got about $20. I did not spend that much there this year and generally buy stuff on sale or through the online outlet store. I do neeed a new rock helmet so I'll use the dividend and the coupon to knock the price down.

I had $1.69.

Maybe I could buy one sock. On clearance? :p

I did just pick up this deal from the outlet though. With a 20%-off-one-item coupon a few weeks back, it was less than $50.
