I got my K&M matchcase in the mail today.

I went to REI for some stormproof matches.

I came back with all this crap. In addition to the matches I got a little waterproof Sealine bag I though would be perfect for my fire piston and other fire starting gear. Also got some GITD zipper pulls, small plastic bags, a sternum strap buckle with whistle(it's orange I had to get it). and a 40oz Klean Kanteen.

nice looking haul...

i was looking to grab a kleenkanteen yesterday at EMS, but they were out of the loop tops like that one...they only had the "sports cap" left...so i am going to wait.

cool matchcase too.
 
REI is run by the Devil... I left over $457 in the last two days... Damn the Devil i say. Going backpacking in two days.. To find out that some of my gear wont make it for a week in the sierra..

REI is not the devil. It's just fools like us have no willpower. That's why I finally had to ditch my REI Visa. Besides, their knife prices are OUTRAGEOUS! Except for the Farmers...
 
DAMN! Wait a minute... those SAK deals are pretty good. Always wanted the traveler set, but just got a new modded Farmer from Scibeer, so I don't need the knife now. Anyone want to go in on the set, and I'll take the magnifying glass/thermometer/compass thingee, and you can have the rest?
 
I am not allowed in REI any more this month. I'm considering just forwarding my paycheck to them to save me the hassle of dealing with credit cards.

There is an REI in Blue Back Square in West Hartford. Unfortunately, it will cause you to spend more $$. Just a heads up amigos.
 
Nice haul! Both REI and EMS have both almost cause "marriage altering events" at my house.... dens of evil, both of them :D
 
I really, really wish we had an REI around here.

And even though I've got 2 farmers, I'll likely pick up a red to complete the set! :foot:

Luckily thats an hour away from me. The bad thing is there is a Cabelas right there as well. The last time I visited the Cabelas I shed about 500lbs
