Reiger Khukuri (Contest Winner) Pics

Otto: You certainly didn't come off as ungrateful, but rather, very respectful of another master's work.

And Marcus: You do know that the number two "Rieger Khukuri" is up on auction on Bladeforums - your chance to own it (shameless commercialism, I know, but I didn't want you to miss it).

I've taken to polishing the "other" Rieger khukuri in my spare time - I LOVE this thing. Why am I not keeping it? Heck, I don't know. I want it OUT THERE for someone with the time to use and enjoy it.

Craig,

If anyone other then us knife knuts saw you "polishing" a knife like the Khurkuri, they would most likely report you to the police as some sort of "pree-vert"

Atleast you get the oppurtunity to handle it before anyone does.

Is there any word on the Bowie project yet? You never did post how TB and the others liked the various designs, other then they liked them. Also, how is the video coming along?

Just got back from my Wednesday session. I have about 15 minutes done, and have about an hour left to go - luckily for the forumites, this will be a longer video than anticipated (more fun to watch!).

The bowie project was well received, and TB liked the designs. He has two of Blackdogs bowies to play with (and keep, thanks to the generosity of Blackdog), and was going to get around to a prototype just as soon as he finished with the contest winner and some other items. I'd look for some prototype in the next month or so. I am also going to get, if TB wants to part with it, one of the HI bowies that he showed me just for fun (this was a really heavy "khukuri" if you ask me - indestructable due to it's thickness). It'll be unmarked (neither GH or HI), and I'll likely auction it off on BF as an unbranded piece). But look for a GH prototype in the future.

I really like the Ken Onion khukuri. I wonder if he'd let me "copy" it? Anybody know how to get in touch with him?

And don't think for a minute that the Otto Rieger khuk takes a back seat to the Onion Khukuri, which, if you'll read the other thread, you can learn about.
