Reimagining the leather stacked handle on an old WWII-vintage knife

That came out great. I love the alternating color washers, really makes it pop.

Question; I still use rubber cement for gluing on welts before I sew up a sheath. Is the elmers looking leather glue better, and should I switch?

I used to use cement as well but switched to the leather weld glue that looks like Elmer’s. The clamp time was just a few minutes and then it held really strong compared to cement.

I prefer the Leatherweld. It gives some time to reposition for welts and leather stacks like this. I basically only use contact cement for linings.

What's it called?

Nice work as per usual OP. Makes me wonder what your build time average is per sheath.

LeatherWeld for stuff like this. I use Ecoweld (yes, the names are confusing) contact cement for larger areas like liners.
