I was 99% done with this knife when I notice some hairline checking in the handle. This is such a nice piece of wood that I want to offer it to someone at a discount price rather than removing the handle and replacing it. I feel confident that this is only a cosmetic defect and the handle will hold up even with heavy use. Therefore I will replace the handle free if it fails at any time in my lifetime. (I am feeling OK) I still need to sharpen the knife and put my logo on.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Convex grind
Hand sanded to 400 grit with some hammer marks
Desert ironwood handle
Overall length: 13 1/2 inches
Blade: 8 3/4 inches
A riveted leather scabbard will be completed and included at this price.

$160 ----SOLD----delivered to the US or Canada. My PayPal account is gldrewknives@yahoo.com Checks with time to clear and USPS money orders also accepted.

Damn what a bargain. What a nice knife and that cracking is miniscule and actually looks really good.

Congrats to maker and customer.

Wow nice knife- Pete228 scored a nice one.

That's what I get for sleeping in.

That thing’s wicked and just makes ya smile.

Gerry must hold the record for selling a knife with an acknowledged defect (in the eye of the craftsman) at 26 minutes!

You know, I hope karma is real :) I was second viewer on this and nearly jumped on it just because it was such a screaming deal! I prefer no swedge and straight spine for my knives and thought this should go to someone who it suited better.

Maybe the next screaming deal will be perfect for me ;) LOL!
Wonderful knife as always from Mr. Drew.

Hi Gerry the knife arrived today and I couldn't be happier with her. I have been building furniture to long to remember and I'm looking for that hair line in the handle and I'm telling you can just about see it and I'm picky. I bought this knife with the intention of giving it as a gift but I don't know if its going anywhere right now . Great craftsmanship. Thanks Peter
