Reject Handle?

I was 99% done with this knife when I notice some hairline checking in the handle. This is such a nice piece of wood that I want to offer it to someone at a discount price rather than removing the handle and replacing it. I feel confident that this is only a cosmetic defect and the handle will hold up even with heavy use. Therefore I will replace the handle free if it fails at any time in my lifetime. (I am feeling OK) I still need to sharpen the knife and put my logo on.

Forged from 1/4 inch 5160
Convex grind
Hand sanded to 400 grit with some hammer marks
Desert ironwood handle
Overall length: 13 1/2 inches
Blade: 8 3/4 inches
A riveted leather scabbard will be completed and included at this price.

You know, I hope karma is real I was second viewer on this and nearly jumped on it just because it was such a screaming deal! I prefer no swedge and straight spine for my knives and thought this should go to someone who it suited better.

Maybe the next screaming deal will be perfect for me LOL!

Hi Gerry the knife arrived today and I couldn't be happier with her. I have been building furniture to long to remember and I'm looking for that hair line in the handle and I'm telling you can just about see it and I'm picky. I bought this knife with the intention of giving it as a gift but I don't know if its going anywhere right now . Great craftsmanship. Thanks Peter
