REK Ember fixed blade discussion thread

I've had it for a few weeks...whenever Josh had the last 20 or so Embers...this was unclaimed. I just decided today to convert Josh's sheath to neck duty is all.

But yeah, it's a beauty...which is kind of redundant around here considering the body of work Josh produces.

That's a great idea on how you converted that! I love it! Worked perfect with the removable screws 👍😍

Thanks, Josh. Once I realized that removing the screw didn't affect the retention at all...it was all systems go.

It's really handy for me, especially when walking the dog, as the knife is easy to access or keep tucked away under a shirt, sweatshirt or jacket.

(Plus, I spend a lot of time in sweats and gym shorts and it's a convenient way to have the knife regardless of attire.)

Hey Josh, a while back you said you would be working on a batch of 3.5" swedged Embers in Magnacut. Is this going to happen soon?
I don't remember where I said that but I haven't had any magnacut 3.5's in a while... The next batch I do will be 20cv (m390) I've got the sheet of steel but it's not even cut up yet so it will probably not be until March-April before I have any of those ready unfortunately. I went with the 20cv this batch to increase the edge retention over magnacut.

I'm in.

So your new knifes are sold through your newsletter? Wondering how to go about purchasing one? Thanks
