How would a laser etch hold up after use over a long period? I think you are onto something here, but maybe a different pattern Josh.

Probably depends on how deep you laser. I’ve got a couple scales that I had laser work done and it is pretty deep. Not sure on the colors though.

Depends on how I engrave... The matte finishes you would have to grind off, the annealed colors may not last as long, though I haven't tested how durable they are. Thanks yeah I wanna play around with different patterns for sure
