REK Ember fixed blade discussion thread

I know there are a few people who carry neck knives. Does anyone carry an ember 2.5 on their neck? If so what sheath? Not sure I would like it but always like options.

I carry a 3" as a neck knife. The 2.5" will be even easier with less weight. I just use Josh's sheaths with some paracord. I've posted images in this sub-forum somewhere.

It's easy to conceal under a shirt, (not that that's the reason), but it's convenient. I started carrying one in the 90's while still an LEO, as it gave me a way to have a small fixed blade available if needed for any number of reasons. I've been carrying that way ever since.

I carry the 3" Ember sheepsfoot daily in that manner.

Trying different positions for the clip but love it so far! This blade is going to be a great cutter.

I gotta be honest, I'm a little disappointed. I like the 3's so much I probably wont carry the 2.5 any longer, and I really liked it.

Pretty sure it was listed as green rag micarta. Will edit after a double check if I'm wrong. It deserves better pictures, which I will try to deliver tomorrow. I'm quite happy with it.

Yep that's what it is, it's a combination of rag micarta that's mixed together (made by Current Composites)

Best pictures I could manage to get. Almost has a camo effect/pattern, and camo happens to be my favorite color. It wont be a safe queen, so Ill try to post pics of how it ages in the future. The ember 3 is just what i was looking for in a pocket knife.

I’m guilty of it too. Us lone guys thinking we can get more done in a certain amount of time than we really can. It’s why I don’t give time estimates too often.
