I fixed your typo for you sir! This is theworstBEST thread I could have ever walked into.![]()
Good job staying on top of things, C.I fixed your typo for you sir!![]()
I’d love to! But that would mean I have to buy one and someone would be outta luck!
Sorry to hear about the misfortunes E., especially about the recent broken arm and wrist of your wife, that’s terrible. Hope she’s doing better. I know you dealt with a lot after the storms as well. Hang in there partner!I'll be joining you on the sidelines, Coleman. So, that's two which might not have been available otherwise.
Bills from the surgery on my wife's broken arm and wrist, a good deal of necessary tree work in the wake of Hurricane Helene and more recent storms, and daily local fire warnings and potential evacuation have just made it the perfect storm of bad timing.
Although Mr. REK tried all the sales tactics on me last night, I have good news for ya’ll!
I’m gonna be staying out of this preorder so that others can see how awesome the “Q” actually is.![]()

I’d definitely get liners. I love the Q. The only thing about it I would’ve changed would be to have it a little thicker. Everyone’s grip preference is different but for me it’d be a no brainer. Eventually I’ll probably buy my own liner off Amazon and cut it to size. I did it for one other knife (CPK FK2) and that small bit seemed to be an improvement to me. Not a hard project, just takes a little time and patience.Any thoughts on pros and cons of going with liners on the Q? Trying to decide and it seems like with a custom fit sheath I need to be sure!
Thanks, for the good thoughts...but as William Munny said in "Unforgiven"..."Deserve's got nothing to do with it."Sorry to hear about the misfortunes E., especially about the recent broken arm and wrist of your wife, that’s terrible. You definitely deserve a Q though!
One saying that I’ve heard comes to mind from a dude I worked with was…... “S—T in one hand, and want in the other. See which one fill up first”Thanks, for the good thoughts...but as William Munny said in "Unforgiven"..."Deserve's got nothing to do with it."
And so it goes.
Well, I may have to take my non-purchase back…as making some Q sheaths for you folks really interests me.![]()
It would add some thickness (about .060" total, .030" per side) and color/pop to your knife. The handle thickness w/out liners is already .8" thick.Any thoughts on pros and cons of going with liners on the Q? Trying to decide and it seems like with a custom fit sheath I need to be sure!
if you want liners and wanna send me your Q I can add them with this batch...they are free-floating so all I would have to do is add then grind the tang flush (so it would have a satin finish, fyi)I’d definitely get liners. I’m down for a Q sheath pre-order, post order, or just any order. In for #1 on this list. Sign me up! Oh heck who am I kidding, I’d be ok with being #2
